There comes a point in business where you don't need more information. You need better conversations. 

When you're building something significant, the decisions get bigger. You're thinking about people, revenue, leadership, hiring, opportunities, what to say yes to and probably more importantly, what to say no to. At the same time, you're still a person with a family, relationships, health, goals and a life you actually want to enjoy.

This is where I think high-level coaching support needs to look different.

At this stage, I don't believe you need someone handing you a generic roadmap. You need someone who can understand the bigger picture, ask really good questions, challenge the way you're thinking and then help you turn those conversations into actual decisions and action.

You also need someone willing to look beyond the business.

I have seen this in my own life and in Ryan's. We've grown businesses very differently, but one thing has been true for both of us. The business doesn't exist in isolation. The way you lead is affected by your energy, your relationships, your confidence, your capacity and what is happening at home. You can have the perfect growth strategy on paper, but if the person responsible for executing it is completely maxed out, it's not a very good strategy.

High-level coaching should give you room to talk about all of it.

It should help you see where you're the bottleneck and where you're needed most. It should challenge you when you're playing small and also when you're trying to do too much. It should help you make decisions faster instead of spending three weeks thinking about something you probably knew the answer to on day one.

It should also bring different perspectives into the room.

We don't always see things the same way, and that's actually the point.

Because building a significant business should not require sacrificing the person building it.

For me, that's what high-level coaching should ultimately create. Not dependence on a coach. More clarity. Better decisions. Stronger leadership. Faster action. A business that can continue growing without everything resting on your shoulders.

And a life that still feels like yours while you build it.
